One of the unique attributes of the FWRSCC series is a mandatory pit stop for fuel and/or driver change. The purpose is to give the teams and drivers an opportunity to gain skills needed for higher level of racing. Even though the FWR series mandates one (1) pit stop, additional pits stops are allowed giving the crew chief the ability to formulate a fuel and driver strategy. The uniqueness of the feature within the series allows teams to add greater “value” to the drivers verse normal sprint racers. In addition, teams have a greater marketing advantage or exposure over the others series formats in terms the ability to use the pit stops for sponsorship strategy. The Series has a wide range of marketing and sponsorship strategies for not only the teams but for the corporate sponsors as well. Sponsors will have special events or opportunities to “host” a lap in the race. The driver leading the race at the time of the “hosting lap” will receive bonus money and/or products from the sponsor. An organization can sponsor the Series, Event or participate in the Contingency Awards program.
